Empowered Senior Series began in Wichita, KS in January 2019. It’s held monthly at Botanica, Wichita’s Garden venue. Empowered Senior Series is a collection of candid conversations about topics that matter. Our goal is to educate and equip older adults so they can live empowered lives and make informed decisions for themselves and those for whom they provide care.
Designed for learning based individuals & couples that are seeking resources, community connections, and knowledge to navigate through the myriad of complex aging & housing-related issues facing mature homeowners and their families.
Seminars are delivered Expert Panel style with 4-6 subject matter experts presenting some of their “best stuff” and answering questions at the end. Attendees learn something every month that helps them make decisions, and take action! We had over 1000 attendees throughout the year and over 300 attended the last seminar & stayed for a first year celebratory Christmas Party.
Community sponsors that believe in our mission of educating, equipping, and empowering seniors support our program and allow it to be provided at no cost to the community. Sponsors attend, not to sell, but to be there as a resource, answer questions, and provide additional education materials from their industry & personal perspective on the monthly topic.

Katherine and her husband, Randy Ambrose, are co-hosts of the programs. They are both local real estate Brokers with KW Hometown Partners…and the founders of Keller Williams Realty offices in Wichita.
Thanks to her efforts to empower and serve seniors, Katherine was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Service Award (OSA)at the National Association of Realtors® conference, in San Francisco, by the board of Seniors Real Estate Specialists®.
